Nila Curry is a designer, illustrator, minister, and Air Force Veteran who graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree while minoring in Business Entrepreneurship. Over the past 12 years, she has served various communities with her art skills. In the Department of Defense and Department of State, she has created an array of graphics and UX designs - ranging from brochures and flyers to logos and wireframe projects. Outside of the government, she has become a professional freelancer who has completed all types of projects ranging from children’s books and coloring books to medical illustrations.
Nila is also a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary with Master of Divinity and Master of Theological Studies degrees. She serves her community as a passionate minister, story-teller, and curator of sacred spaces at The Open Church of MD (Baltimore, MD) and across the DMV. She is a Miami native who enjoys traveling, community storytelling, and creative writing. She is also the founder of TribePurple LLC, a womanist initiative for healing and transformation.
